This month has just seemed to get so crazy so fast. For starters, everyone has been sick in our house with one thing or another. It's been a constant stream of sickies! Barry had the flu, then Brigham got croup. Then Colton had double ear infections with two rounds of antibiotics AND a shot. I got a weird stomach bug that started on conference Sunday and lasted through monday as well. Then Colton got croup. During that same time I got pinkeye. Really, really bad pinkeye. Like I've never seen before. So, of course, Brigham gets pinkeye too. Then Sunday night both Barry and Rory tossed their cookies during the night. Ahhhhh. So I have missed more days of work then we can afford, but someone has to take care of everyone. My sweet mother-in-law came to my rescue one of these nights because I HAD to go into work and had no one that I could take all my sick kids too. She drove 30 minutes to watch my kids for me... and then my massage cancelled anyway, so I came home. :-)
Whew! I am really REALLY glad that everyone is finally getting over everthing. Today I will actually be able to put my contacts back in! YAY!!! The only glasses of mine that I can manage to find are about 7 years old. They are scratched and don't have any of my astigmatism corrections in the. It's better than nothing, but not by much. I will add pictures so that everyone can get a good look at how horrible I looked. But these don't honestly do it much justice. The first day I had pinkeye my eyes were nearly swollen shut. I looked like I had been crying for four days straight. It was quite the hideous sight to behold.
I have also started to be more crafty this month. I made a Puppy dog cake for Brigham and the other guys celebrating their b-day this month on Barry's side of the family. It was yummy!

I made Rory a few tutu's like I saw on my friends blog. (So cute and super easy too. You don't need to know how to sew to do them either.) I have also (sort of) been put in charge of a Super Saturday for our ward. I love them, but our ward hasn't done one in a long time, and since I was pushing for one, they deligated that to me. I ordered several really cute projects from a cool little magazine, and they finally got in! I have been working on a few things to see what I think the women would like to do. I liked that they items were very reasonably priced and of good quality. I'll let you know how that goes. :-) I've also committed myself to making Rory's Halloween costume this year, and she decided to be a cheerleader. I found a cute pattern and finally made it to get the material and everything else I'll need. Now I just have to sqeeze in the time!
And, whether due to sickness, or a more detirmined effort, I have been able to lose a few more pounds. I didn't really get anyone to sign up and sponsor my weightloss (except Heidi!) but I am still pushing forward. Now that everyone is healthy again, I can start hitting the gym again too. I was lost in total 14.5 pounds and 16 inches since I started trying after Colton. Since starting my sponsor challenge I have lost 4.5 pounds. Slowly but surely.
What else... Well, I do think that is it for now. Hopefully the rest of the month will go smoothly and I'll be able to finish Rory's costume in time!
